Procedure

Phase A–Combine phase A ingredients in formula order into main vessel with propeller mixing and begin heating to 60-70°C. Phase B–In a separate vessel, combine phase B ingredients in formula order under propeller mixing and begin heating to 60-70°C. Once both phase A & phase B are fully uniform, add phase B to phase A with continuous mixing. Once fully dispersed, discontinue heat. Phase C–Once temperature is at 35-40°C, add phase C to phase AB with continuous mixing. Phase D–Add phase D to Phase ABC, discontinue mixing and switch to a homogenizer. Homogenize for 10-30 seconds. Once complete, transfer to a holding vessel.

Properties

pH—6.5–7.0; Viscosity—spindle 6 @ 60 rpm = 2,500 – 2,700 cst.
